    From what I understand, hyperlipidemia is a major risk factor for atherosclerosis (plaque buildup in arteries), which can lead to heart disease.

    Has anyone with hyperlipidemia experienced irregular heartbeats?

    but high cholesterol can lead to atherosclerosis (narrowing of the arteries), which can reduce blood flow to the heart and potentially cause arrhythmias
